John Robson and Hexham Historic Rally Marshals
Marshals Required
We require over 60 marshals to help with the event.

If you don't have any experience, that is no problem, as we can pair you with someone who has!

Many competitors are also marshals, and it's a great way to make a start with rallying.

There are 4 main types of marshal:

Start Time Control:
You are required to note what time the competitor arrives on their time card and set them off at the time required.

Finish Time Control:
You note exactly what time the competitor arrives at the time control. These can be timed to the minute or second.

Route Check:
Your role is to note when the competitors arrive at your location. You will not this on your check sheet and also their time card.

Gate Marshal:
The role is to allow gates to be kept open during the event. These can either be a route check, or just used to keep livestock within their fields.
